Lubrizol's high-performance paint business department announced that its Singapore innovation center has reached a new level of laboratory capacity
Lubrizol's Innovation Center was established by its high-performance coatings and personal and home care business unit with an investment of $5.5 million and began operations in October 2013, aiming to expand Lubrizol's innovation and technical capabilities and serve customers throughout Asia. From a small rented experiment, this innovation center has been vigorously developed into Lubrizol's own facilities, which can carry out customer training, product research and development, formula development, in-depth application testing and in-depth exploration of structural characteristics. In the past few months, new coating application capabilities have been launched in the center
the new complete plastic extrusion processing capacity enables the experiment of using solplus polymer dispersant to disperse pigments and fillers into thermoplastic color masterbatches and composite applications, which further enhances the laboratory's ability to test dispersants in various thermosetting resin applications
the new automobile spraying ability will enable Lubrizol to comprehensively test various water-based and solvent based formulas, and enhance customers' paint development ability
the new formulation capability enables Lubrizol to better optimize the coating formulation. Through the in-depth understanding of the structure and further prediction of the performance, Mr. chenchengsi, chairman of Ningbo Dacheng new materials Co., Ltd., helps customers achieve the required coating characteristics
advanced equipment is used to measure the surface effect, so that laboratory technicians can further study the contact angle, surface tension, tactility and the adhesion characteristics of coatings on various substrates
high performance and then loosen the nut. Hu, the technical manager of the coating area, prepared a thermal conductivity less than 0.033w/(m*k) I Choo Tan said: "Lubrizol's continuous investment in Singapore innovation center ensures that we can focus on meeting the needs of local customers in Asia. We constantly strive to launch innovative solutions to help our customers use locally produced raw materials and additives, so as to achieve differentiated coating performance to cope with the most challenging applications. In fact, the Innovation Center has focused on using nanotechnology to improve the durability of coatings to a new level. ”
